"Happily after Valentines Day…"

Love You, Cin X

Last Thursday I came home from work and looked if there was mail and I saw a beautiful red envelope with my name (written error) ... Make this open and surprise it was an very early “Valentine Card”, I thought wow I find a quiet lover hihihi ...I am 40 years now and with receiving this card I got hot flushes by myself hahahaha ...
Of course the card is from my man! And secretly he was laughing too, actually the whole week he was to grin.
With a sweet, special text and he had so neatly written the following message. I must made me ready at Valentine’s day at 18:30 and we gonna eat something in a special restaurant with special company ... Three days I guess who that company might be. I cannot surpass the surprises of my husband and I devised the following for my Valentine “move” for him to conquer his heart for a wonderful cake, Indonesian kind of noodles, lovely smelling shower gel and a beautiful Valentine bouquet from roses.
But his surprise was still exciting ofcourse!
The dear companion was his Uncle Karel and Aunt Martha, special people with their hearts in the right place. Uncle Karel has always offered his help in any house we lived when it comes to improving measures, stucco, wall covering and painting of ceilings and walls. And not only that part he is also creative and build for me a dollhouse and made a beautiful stained glass window. I will let you see the creation of our Uncle Karel in a further notice. Yes, and you should know he is 72 years, great isn’t it! Aunt Martha gives us her support in various ways.
It is our 5th year to live in this fine house that’s why Henri (my husband) asked to enjoy us at Valentine’s day.
So we eat in a lovely Indonesian food restaurant “Sate Babi Boys” in the town of Rhenen and have we enjoyed a delicious dinner, mmmmm ... ... Big kiss for you Henri, very nicely cooked! Thanks to uncle Karel en aunt Martha for there loveley companion.

"A cup of flowers..."

I saw this nice “cup of flowers” at a cozy, brocante flowershop who named “Sitting On Roses” in the town of Veenendaal.
I saw them in December filled with nice bulbs, but were unfortunately sold out.
Until I got the tip of my daughter who cycled everyday along this flowershop, that they were again for sale.
And what a nice extra is that I have birthday gift vouchers from Family Vink for this store so I buy immediately two of them.
Did it all for me if the balls are blown I fill this cup with nice spring flowers.
Unfortunately I saw by homecoming that the print of the text went off (gasp) and could not exchange for another set.
I caught a knife and scraped off the remaining letters. Think about to paint a nice dotted heart at the cup ... But I am still very happy with the cup and the bulbs…they came out.
Now I have the cups already filled with nice spring flowers ...

"Little chocolates at your handbag..."

I made these hanger for my daughter Jodie in the colours of her bag...

Between the "breaks" by cleaning our house I took the crochet needle and made little crocheted chocolates for handbag pendants.Gave myself also a nice “trendy” bag like my daughter and of course at this bag must be made such pendants, in a later message of mine you be able to see those pendants on the bags.So now and then I put a real chocolate in my mouth to melt slowly away hihihi ... I found that I had earned it after all the hard work. Also after the cleaning of “the museum” above, THE ATTIC! Sometimes I become just mad at myself, what can a person a lot of collecting and preserving ... And if your family "subtle" tell the attic access was almost impossible, well then there is nothing else than on a Sunday like last week with bad weather to tackle! Finally it is a good move because it also cleans well in your head ... hahahha and marketplace on the internet will be a great help for me!

"February makes a bridge to March..."

We are right in the middle of February and the last days I had a real spring feeling!
The sentence of Spring, I am waiting for the first Spring sunbeam to warm my skin.I already read it in various blogs, so beautiful, inspiring and wonderful photographs of the first signs of spring! In the beginning of the month February, Spring had already knocked at my “door”! Perhaps you know the feeling, tidying up, cleaning, time for change ... I open the next page of the calendar of "The Lang companies” for February.
I am curious which picture will shown of the calendar an to watch it a whole month with much pleasure and enjoying it. How can it be a picture with great hearts and the biggest heart is filled with LOVE with Faith and Hope ... February makes a bridge to March, Spring is on it’s way!

"Snowflakes are kisses from heaven..."

Dit quiltje heb ik “Snowflakes are kisses from heaven” genoemd.

Last weekend I decorate our house into a “winter home” ..., ofcourse there must be a quilt to fit in! It became one of a pattern of a snowmen quilt of Atelier Bep, also lovely to make this in!
I call this quilt “Snowflakes are kisses from heaven. “
The winter flakes are buttons that swirl around this quilt...
I had the feeling with the toothache that I lie 3 weeks behind to do with things I want to make…hahahah, because now I have such a great feeling for spring!
In the meanwhile I already designed in my head a following quilt, now just sketches.
This has been a forerunner for the spring ...!
The mice were not so happy with me last week, well they become a part of my “winterhome” and also they must change ...
(Klick on the photo to see the quilt larger)
