“The enjoy of a creative moment…”

 

 Nu het buiten grijs en grauw is en de laatste sneeuwvlokken dwarrelen heb ik even zin in een beetje voorjaar.

At the moment the outside looks so gray and the last snowflakes are tumbling down and I just have the feeling now for a little bit of spring. 

 

Gezellige hyacinten in huis die zo lekker geuren daar kan ik ook zo van genieten.

En dan weer wat leuks bedenken om te maken voor het aankomend voorjaarseizoen.

I bring some hyacinths in our home and they smell so like spring time, I enjoy it so much.

And that gives me the first start of thinking to craft something for the upcoming Spring Season.

 

Twee weken geleden zat ik heerlijk te borduren op een zondagmiddag in een winters zonnetje, ook dat is zo’n genietmoment.

Zag dat Pasen al vroeg begint dit jaar en ben dus al begonnen voor een gezellig Pasen/voorjaar tafereeltje.

Two weeks ago I start to embroider on a Sunday afternoon and so cosy in the Winter sun, was also a enjoying moment.

Saw at the calendar that Easter begins early this year, so I’m already begun for a fun and lovely Easter/Spring décor.

 

Dit ontzettende leuke borduurpatroon had ik vorig jaar op de handwerkbeurs gekocht bij de lieve dames van ’t Gaerenhuys uit België.(klik)

Ook zo leuk om deze te maken, iedere dag een kruissteekje…genieten!

This cute embroidery pattern I purchased it last year at the handcraft exhibition, bought it from the lovely ladies of “’t Gaerenhuys” in Belgium. (Click)

It is really so much fun to embroider this pattern, each day a cross stitch… enjoy!

En ja…, de handwerkbeurs te Zwolle start al over 3 weken (van 14 t/m 17 februari a.s.) en kijk er weer naar uit deze te mogen bezoeken en leuke dingen te bekijken en kopen hahaha….

Alsof ik nog niets heb liggen, kasten, tafels en manden vol.

Kan niet vaak genoeg zeggen dat ik tot over m’n 100^e jaar terecht kan met handwerken ahum…jullie ook of ben ik de enige?

And yes, I already looking forward because the handcrafting exhibition again start in about 3 weeks and I hope that I can visit this exhibition, to see very cute things and also shop hahaha…

Now I pretend that I’ve got nothing at home for to craft ahum… o yeah cabinets, tables and baskets full with crafting stuff.

Can’t say it enough that I have so much that I can craft when I reached the age of 100 years hahaha.., you too or am I the only one?

En vorig jaar was het voor mij ook zo genieten, heel veel leuke, mooie en nieuwe dingen gezien.  

And the last year visits was for me so enjoying, to see all the beautiful and new things in the range of handcrafting.

Van alles wat op handwerkgebied, breien, haken, borduren, quilten, vilt, teveel om op te noemen. Voor mij moeilijk hoor want ik hou en vind alles wel leuk om te maken hahaha…

There is so much for to knit, crochet, embroidery, quilting, felt, too many to mention. So hard for me because I love it all so much hahaha…

 

Zoals deze hele leuke stand van ’t Gaerenhuys uit België, lieve zucht…

Je wordt er toch niet lekker van, wat is het daar genieten!

I’m getting “sick” when I see all those lovely things, what is there to enjoy!

En wie hebben we daar? Ook mijn lieve vriendin Elly gespot tussen alle patronen…, inmiddels heeft ze zelf ook een te gekke webshop 't Scrapateljeetje? (Klik) Heb je al gekeken, nee even doen hoor ook zo leuk en genieten!

And who have we here? My dearest friend Elly also spotted among all patterns…, in the mean time she run also a very cute webshop 't Scrapateljeetje? Did you already looked, no please do it is so enjoying and fun!

Geweldig en gezellig hé?

Isn’t it lovely en cosy?  

 

Mijn aanwinsten van vorig jaar, valt mee toch? hahaha…

My shoppings, it is not that bad is it? hahaha…

 

Ben er helemaal klaar voor en aan het aftellen hoeveel nachtjes ik nog moet slapen.

Maar eerst nog even een paar kruissteekjes zetten en vooral genieten van deze creatieve momentjes.

I am already for to go and visit, I start to counting how many nights I have to sleep.

But first I make a few cross stitches and enjoy this creative moment.

“My little Autumn Quilt and dancing lights…”

Dan breekt er een heerlijk herfstweekend aan…

En als het laat in de middag wordt gaan lekker de kaarsjes aan tot laat in de avond.

Then comes a lovely autumn weekend…

And when it’s starts getting darker in the afternoon I light up the candles till late in the evening.

Dit is mijn allereerste quiltje wat ik heb gemaakt in het jaar 2007.

Voor het eerst kwam ik bij een hele leuke quiltwinkel “atelier Bep” (klik)na het maken van een lief poppetje wat ik als patroon kado had gekregen uit deze quiltwinkel van een lieve vriendin Tanja.

This is my first quilt that I’ve made in the year 2007.

After I made a sweet doll pattern what came from a quilt shop what a sweet present was from a dear friend Tanja, I visited for the first time a very cute, cosy and a beautiful quilt shop who’s named “Atelier Bep”. (click)

 

Bij atelier Bep wist ik bij het zien van al die prachtige stoffen en winkel dat de landelijke country stijl helemaal bij mij past, alsof ik helemaal thuis kwam.

Met hulp van Bep stelden we quiltstofjes samen om eerst een klein quiltje te maken met blokjes van 5x5cm, sindsdien is quilten één van mijn passie voor me geworden.

Steeds weer gebruik ik dit kleine lieve quiltje, op tafel, op de schouw, op een lief kastje.

Bedacht afgelopen tijd dat ik toch wel meer van dit soort kleine quiltjes wil maken, je kan ze eindeloos overal voor gebruiken en blijven altijd leuk.

Noem ze maar weekendquiltjes...

At the quiltshop of “Atelier Bep” I knew when I saw all of those beautiful fabrics and the shop that the country style completely suits me, it felt like I was coming home.

With the help from Bep we matched some quilt fabrics together to make a first little quilt with blocks of 5x5cm, since then quilting became one of my hobbies which also became one of my passions. 

Again and again I am using this sweet little quilt, on the table, on the mantelpiece, on a sweet small cabinet. I was thinking last time that I want to make more of those little quilts, you could using them endlessly for everything and they are always cute.

I called them the little weekend quilts...

Dus in een heerlijk afgelopen herfstweekend heb ik een klein herfst weekend quiltje gemaakt, begon eerst met het uitzoeken van deze leuke stofjes.

So in a last lovely fall weekend, I’ve made a little autumn weekend quilt but first sorted out these cute fabrics.

 

En zo de eerste banen gemaakt met de hand op de traditionele manier.

And so the first lines I patched in the traditional way by hand.

De top in een avond klaar en nog even strijken, door quilten…

The top I finished in an evening and must do a little ironing, than I started with quilting…

 

En hoera, heb een lief klein weekend quiltje voor de herfst klaar. Heel gezellig ligt het op tafel en kijk ik er elke dag naar…

And hurray, I got a sweet little weekend quilt ready for fall season. It lies very cosy on the table and I look at this little weekend quilt every day…

En zodra de avond valt dan steek ik alle kaarsjes aan…

When the evening falls I light up all the candles…

 

Buiten op de tuintafels, die dansende lichtjes vind ik altijd zo’n sprookjesachtige sfeer geven.

Outside on the garden tables, I always find that those “dancing” lights gives a fairytale sphere.

En ja ook binnen, heerlijke warmte en gezelligheid geeft het voor die lange donkere avonden die komen.

And yes also inside the house, it gives these long dark evenings so much warmth and cosiness.

Net zo hartverwarmend als al jullie lieve reacties, verblijd mij zo!

I’m ready for Autumn…

Terwijl ik dit schrijf tikt de regen tegen het raam aan, ja de herfst kondigt zich aan.

Een favoriet en gezellig seizoen die ieder jaar loyaal met al zijn kleurenpracht terugkeert.

Klaar voor gezelligheid binnen en buiten….

As I write this, the rain is ticking against the window, yes Autumn announces itself.

A favorite and cozy season who returns loyally each year with all its colors.

Ready for coziness inside and outside ....

Ben klaar voor de noordenwind die aantrekt, regen en stormachtige dagen, mooi knisperend kleurige bladeren, paddenstoelen, kastanjes, dennenappels en…

I am ready for the north wind that attracts, rainy and stormy days, nice crisp colored leaves, mushrooms, chestnuts, pine cones and ...

Klaar voor m’n warme kleren, jeans, laarzen, paraplu, lekkere warme sjaal, jas en….

Ready for my warm clothes, jeans, boots, umbrella, nice and cosy scarf, jacket and ....

 

Klaar voor leuk herfst servies, een lekkere warme kop herfst thee met koekjes en chocolaatjes en…

Ready for cute autumn dishes, a nice hot cup of autumn tea with cookies and chocolates...

Klaar voor heerlijke herfstgerechten, pompoenen, appeltaart, stoofpeertjes en…

Ready for delicious fall food, pumpkin, apple, stew pears and ...

 

Klaar voor gezelligheid, warmte binnen, kaarslicht, lange avonden en….

Ready for coziness, warmth, candlelight, long evenings and ....

Klaar voor de kleurrijke oogst die je hopelijk vreugdevolle, blijde en gouden geniet momenten geven in dit prachtige herfstseizoen.

Waarvan je een mooie en lieve lach op je gezicht krijgt en dat je hart gevuld wordt met dankbaarheid!
