“Oh what a beautiful morning…”

Wat is het toch heerlijk als je ’s ochtends wakker wordt gemaakt met het vroege zonlicht door je ramen.

En als ik mijn oogjes langzaam open doe dan kijk ik naar dit quiltje en lees… “Oh what a beautiful morning”.

De dag zo fijn starten met een positieve tekst, daar wordt je toch heel blij en vrolijk van.

It is so wonderful when you wake in the morning with the early sunlight through your windows.

And when my eyes are slowly open I look at this quilt and read ... "Oh what a beautiful morning."

The day starts so fine with a positive text,  you will become very happy and cheerful reading it.

Dit quiltje hangt in de slaapkamer en ja totaal ander kleurgebruik dan het gebruikelijke rood en crème/ wit wat ik doorgaans in ons huis gebruikt.

Lekkere frisse blauwe kleurtjes wat een rust geeft gemengd met andere mooie en ook frisse kleuren.

Quiltpatroon had ik ooit gekocht bij atelier Bep en vond het héél leuk om deze te maken.

This quilt hangs in the bedroom and yes the use of the colours are totally different than the usual red and cream/ white which I usually use in our house.

Fresh different blue colours which gives a touch of peace mixed with other beautiful and bright colours too.

Quilt Pattern I had ever bought at atelier Bep and found it very fun and lovely to make it.

 Ook ik werd betoverd door de sterren blokken wat ik vorig jaar in een aantal blogs zag…

Ja wilde ze ook dolgraag maken, maar wat?

Also, I was enchanted by the stars blocks what I saw in some blogs last year ...

Yes I also wanted so badly to make those, but what? 

Natuurlijk de ochtend sterren werden het voor mij en maakte er kussenhoezen van. Nog een gekoesterde wens van mij om ooit nog een hele grote mooie bijpassende quilt te maken voor op bed.

Of course, the morning stars that was it for me and so I made cushion covers.

Judy Collins (zangeres) heeft ooit een heel mooi liedje gezongen en vond de tekst “Bright morning stars are rising” toepasselijk bij deze post.

Kussentje gemaakt gevuld met lavendel, plaatje van een kaart wat ik ooit van een hele lieve vriendin Sietske heb gekregen. 

Made also this little cushion filled with lavender, picture is from a postcard which I received a long time ago from a very dearest friend Sietske.

“My Home, my cat, my garden…”

Wow, en dan kijk ik op de kalender en we zitten alweer in September!

Na twee heerlijke zomermaanden, fijne vakantie, weer lekker thuis en de draad oppakken.

Afgelopen twee maanden in de voorbereiding geweest met letterlijk de draad oppakken en het uitwerken van ideetjes. 

Heb namelijk ook wat te vieren, wat dat ga ik je binnenkort vertellen.

Wow, and then I look at the calendar and we are already in the month of September!

After two very fine summer months, and a happy summer holiday, coming back home and pick up my thread of every day life.

Well I have been also literally pick up the thread the past two months and work out some ideas. 

I have something to celebrate, something that I'm going to tell you soon.

Hello September, begint met een heerlijk nazomer temperatuurtje van 20 tot 25 graden.

Ja, zo was ik ook bezig geweest met dit heerlijke 2 weken quiltje waar ik begin Juni mee was gestart.

Hello September, begins with a very fine feeling after summer temperature from 20 to 25 degrees.

Yes, I was also working with this wonderful “2 weeks quilt” which I had started in early June.

Noem dit 2 weken quiltje (zolang heb ik erover gedaan hahaha) “My Home”, komt door de serie stofjes van Lynette Anderson. Wellicht als je een lekker lang weekend hebt kun je deze dan ook maken, patroon te bestellen bij Atelier Bep voor de liefhebbers.

Named this 2 weeks quilt (for that long I was working on it hahaha) "My Home", comes from the series of fabrics of Lynette Anderson. Perhaps if you have a nice long weekend, you can make this quilt.

Het zijn mooie herfst en winter tinten vond ik en ga dit quiltje lekker gebruiken voor de komende seizoenen.

The fabrics have beautiful shades of autumn and winter and I want to use this quilt for the coming seasons.

En dit is zo fijn thuiskomen na de vakantiereis, weer lekker in je eigen stoel.

And this is so nice homecoming after the holiday trip, to sit again at your own chair.

 Zoals ik al eerder verteld hebt, heb ik wat te vieren…. en zo nu en dan laat ik wat in deze mooie nazomer September maand uit deze collage zien waar ik aan heb gewerkt. Pssstttt, ook een give away….

Heb de maan op een mooie warme avond gefotografeerd, vond de maan zo mooi en helder schijnen.

I photographed the moon on a beautiful warm evening, found the moon so beautiful and brightly.

Gaf me ’s avonds voldoende licht met deze kaarsen terwijl ik aan het haken was, heerlijk genieten is dit!

The moon gave me in the evening enough light with these candles while I was crocheting, I enjoy those moments!

Geniet van de komende september avonden en heerlijk nazomeren…. in de voorbereiding voor het mooie herfst seizoen wat komt!

“Finally, the lovely warm spring days…”

Eindelijk heeft de temperatuur de afgelopen dagen de warmte bereikt…

Buiten voelt het weer heerlijk zoals het Lente seizoen moet zijn, 20 tot 25 graden.

Finally, the temperature in recent days reached the warmth...

Dan zijn er weer prachtige rozen te koop met mooie intense kleuren…

Deze zijn nog van vorig jaar, gedroogd op de zolder.

Opgemaakt in een hele oude terracotta bloempotje met peperbesjes hier en daar, idee van het blad Ariadne begin jaren ’90.

Nog steeds vind ik het heerlijk om de stapel magazines van de Ariadne van eind jaren ’80 en begin jaren ’90 te lezen, zo inspiratievol met heerlijke ideeën voor een Country Living.

These are from last year, dried in the attic.

I decorate it in a very old terracotta flower pot with pepper berries here and there, the idea of ​​a magazine named Ariadne from the early 90s.

I still love to read these stack of the magazines Ariadne of the late 80s and early 90s, so inspirational with great and lovely ideas for Country Living.

In 2 hele lieve en leuke zilveren fotolijstjes heb ik deze stitcherie gemaakt naar eigen ontwerp voor het Lente seizoen.

Met de lieve tekst: “Thinking of you is like the Spring, You bring Love and Joy to everything”.

Dat zijn eindelijk die warme zonnestralen natuurlijk die mijn huis en mezelf weer lekker opwarmen, de ijstijd voorbij… (knipoog).

Natuurlijk ook voor diegene die mij heel veel Liefde en Vreugde brengen, ook ik denk aan ze en worden zeker gekoesterd in mijn hart. Hele lieve mailtjes ontvang ik waarom ik zo weinig schrijf, maar daar gaat verandering in komen want heb de afgelopen dagen heel veel leuke, lieve en gezellige dingen gemaakt en genoeg om te laten zien ook met hele leuke uitstapjes. Ook daarom heb ik niet zoveel geschreven en gepost.

 In two very sweet and nice silverplated picture frames I made this stitchery and it is my own design for the Spring season.

The sweet text: "Thinking of you is like the Spring, You bring Love and Joy to everything".

These are finally the warm sunrays of course that warm up my house and myself again, the ice age is over ... (wink).

Also of course for those who bring me lots of Love and Joy, I think of them and cherished in my heart. Very sweet emails I receive with the question why I written and posted not so much anymore, but that will change in the future because the past few days I was very busy with making very sweet, lovely and cosy things ​​enough to show and also very nice trips we’ve done. 

 En zo staat dit tafereeltje “Lente” heel gezellig op de schouw…, nog 2 weken en dan is het weer “Zomer”.

And so is this scene "Spring" looked on the mantelpiece ..., another 2 weeks and then it's "Summer".

Dan wordt het tijd om er op uit te gaan, lekker de buitenlucht opsnuiven en dagjes weg te gaan…

Zo reden we vorige week zondag heerlijk in de zon richting Hall…

So we drove and enjoying the sun last Sunday, June 2nd to direction of the village named Hall ...

 Raad je het al, ja… Atelier Bep had een feestje haar 10-jarig bestaan!

Had al meerdere malen in m’n blog geschreven over haar en sinds ik haar atelier voor 5 jaar geleden had ontdekt dankzij een lieve vriendin ben ik niet meer bij Bep weg te slaan.

Do you already guess, yes ... Atelier Bep had a party its her 10th anniversary!

Had several times written in my blog about her and since I discovered her five years ago with thanks to a dear friend of mine I got lovely stuck and rusty at the Atelier of Bep, I love it there so much.

Nadat ik de overheerlijke taart had opgegeten trappelde ik van ongeduld om in de winkel van Bep te kijken…

In de vijver werd je begroet door de brulkikkers met mooie liedjes die ze volgens mij voor Bep haar feestje zongen en je kon hier lekker vertoeven aan deze tafel en genieten van hun concert. (hé Gerda hihi)

After I had eaten the delicious cake my feet were kicking of impatience for to go the shop.

In the pond of the beautiful country garden you were greeted by the bullfrogs with beautiful songs, think they sang a very nice party song for Bep and over here you could sit at this table and enjoy their concert.

 Aan deze tafel zat Liesbeth heerlijk te breien in het zonnetje en moet je nu toch eens kijken wat ze allemaal voor leuke dingen maakt, lieve zucht…

Anna nog eventjes volhouden hoor...!

At this table also sat Liesbeth, knitting very relaxed in the sun and look at what she makes so much beautiful knitting things, sweet sigh ...

En eenmaal binnen gelopen… ja toen was Cindy druk doende bezig om stofjes bij elkaar te verzamelen alvast voor een herfstquilt wat ze lekker op vakantie kan doen.

Voor 2 of 3 jaar geleden zelfs kwam de hele mooie serie uit “La petite ecole” ontworpen door French General voor Moda.

Deze vond ik weer met het opruimen van de lappenmanden maar had geen genoeg lichte stofjes die er nog bij pasten, wat is het dan heerlijk om in al die bakken met lapjes te zoeken in de winkel van Bep.

And once I walked inside her quiltshop... so Cindy was busy trying to collect some fabrics together already for an autumn quilt what she can makes in the summer holiday.

For two or three years ago the beautiful serie came out of "La petite école" designed by French General for Moda.

This I found it again with cleaning up my patch baskets but I did not have enough light fabrics that still fit in, what is it delightful then to search at the quiltshop of  Bep in all those bins with cute and lovely fabrics.

Heel gezellig kwam ik Gerda nog tegen van weblog "Kijk daar is..." 

Thuis aangekomen heb ik nog heerlijk met al deze lapjes zitten spelen en… had ook zo’n schattig quiltpatroon gevonden van Bep.

When I arrived at home I sit and play with all these lovely fabrics... and also I had find such a cute quilt pattern from Bep.

Kon uiteraard niet wachten en ben meteen van start gegaan, een lief “2 weken” quiltje noem ik het maar met de stofjes van Lynette Anderson. Deze had ik al eerder gekocht bij Bep op de handwerkbeurs dus beginnen maar…

Vandaag de top afgemaakt en ga deze week verder met doorquilten… tot mijn volgende post zal opschieten!

Obviously I could not wait and I immediately started, a sweet "2 weeks" quilt I call it with the very cute quiltfabric of Lynette Anderson. This I had bought earlier on the exhibtion stand of Bep on the craft fair so let’s get starting...

Today I finished the top and this week I want hopefully to go on with quilting... so until my next post, I will get along!

“My little Autumn Quilt and dancing lights…”

Dan breekt er een heerlijk herfstweekend aan…

En als het laat in de middag wordt gaan lekker de kaarsjes aan tot laat in de avond.

Then comes a lovely autumn weekend…

And when it’s starts getting darker in the afternoon I light up the candles till late in the evening.

Dit is mijn allereerste quiltje wat ik heb gemaakt in het jaar 2007.

Voor het eerst kwam ik bij een hele leuke quiltwinkel “atelier Bep” (klik)na het maken van een lief poppetje wat ik als patroon kado had gekregen uit deze quiltwinkel van een lieve vriendin Tanja.

This is my first quilt that I’ve made in the year 2007.

After I made a sweet doll pattern what came from a quilt shop what a sweet present was from a dear friend Tanja, I visited for the first time a very cute, cosy and a beautiful quilt shop who’s named “Atelier Bep”. (click)

 

Bij atelier Bep wist ik bij het zien van al die prachtige stoffen en winkel dat de landelijke country stijl helemaal bij mij past, alsof ik helemaal thuis kwam.

Met hulp van Bep stelden we quiltstofjes samen om eerst een klein quiltje te maken met blokjes van 5x5cm, sindsdien is quilten één van mijn passie voor me geworden.

Steeds weer gebruik ik dit kleine lieve quiltje, op tafel, op de schouw, op een lief kastje.

Bedacht afgelopen tijd dat ik toch wel meer van dit soort kleine quiltjes wil maken, je kan ze eindeloos overal voor gebruiken en blijven altijd leuk.

Noem ze maar weekendquiltjes...

At the quiltshop of “Atelier Bep” I knew when I saw all of those beautiful fabrics and the shop that the country style completely suits me, it felt like I was coming home.

With the help from Bep we matched some quilt fabrics together to make a first little quilt with blocks of 5x5cm, since then quilting became one of my hobbies which also became one of my passions. 

Again and again I am using this sweet little quilt, on the table, on the mantelpiece, on a sweet small cabinet. I was thinking last time that I want to make more of those little quilts, you could using them endlessly for everything and they are always cute.

I called them the little weekend quilts...

Dus in een heerlijk afgelopen herfstweekend heb ik een klein herfst weekend quiltje gemaakt, begon eerst met het uitzoeken van deze leuke stofjes.

So in a last lovely fall weekend, I’ve made a little autumn weekend quilt but first sorted out these cute fabrics.

 

En zo de eerste banen gemaakt met de hand op de traditionele manier.

And so the first lines I patched in the traditional way by hand.

De top in een avond klaar en nog even strijken, door quilten…

The top I finished in an evening and must do a little ironing, than I started with quilting…

 

En hoera, heb een lief klein weekend quiltje voor de herfst klaar. Heel gezellig ligt het op tafel en kijk ik er elke dag naar…

And hurray, I got a sweet little weekend quilt ready for fall season. It lies very cosy on the table and I look at this little weekend quilt every day…

En zodra de avond valt dan steek ik alle kaarsjes aan…

When the evening falls I light up all the candles…

 

Buiten op de tuintafels, die dansende lichtjes vind ik altijd zo’n sprookjesachtige sfeer geven.

Outside on the garden tables, I always find that those “dancing” lights gives a fairytale sphere.

En ja ook binnen, heerlijke warmte en gezelligheid geeft het voor die lange donkere avonden die komen.

And yes also inside the house, it gives these long dark evenings so much warmth and cosiness.

Net zo hartverwarmend als al jullie lieve reacties, verblijd mij zo!

Ontzettend veel Dank vanuit mijn hart kan het niet genoeg blijven zeggen en hoe bijzonder ik het vind.
